Kenya needs a robust banking and finance structure rooted in technology and human resources to cater to the ever growing number of people and businesses. There are a number of financial institutions that are all growing in the region in various ways  This includes banking, microfinance, insurance and so on opening branches all around the Country to provide employment and financial services.

Most banks can be classified as Tier 1,2 or 3. Some of the tier 1 banks include KCB, Coop bank and Equity. Most people open a bank account and are free to transact. Mobile banking has drastically impressed on banking services.
However this has not affected the number of staff who work at banks.
